Project 2911 has a great environment to work in. There are so my angles volunteering that you will think your in heaven.
We are so blessed to have so many wonderful volunteers for our Fridays distribution days. Yet, as some may not know we are 100% powered by volunteers so we don't have paid staff, and all the donations go directly to operation expenses. So we are extra grateful for all our volunteer.
If you feel you want to be a volunteer for one of the following roles, please fill out the input form below to apply. The following are the particular type of volunteers we need:
The following roles are where we have the most need. This list will be updated as needed. (6/12/2024).
Volunteers under 18 years of age.
Due to legal reason we do not accept unsupervised children under 18 years of age in our facility. If your under 18 years or older you want to volunteer in our facility you must have an adult supervision you with you at all times. We might be able to work something out if your volunteering for computer work like designing, social media, and video editing outside the facility.
Most morning M-F, 7-10:30am we pick up a large load of food. In particularly Tuesday morning are extra busy. We can use some extra young strong people to give us a hand unloading, moving, and storing the food. Please consider this as an option for you to volunteer.
We always need an extra hand when we do our special community events. Every year we hold a Back to School Blast (at the start of the school year, we partner with Luminate Church) and a Christmas Community party. Please contact us if you want to volunteer for those events. We also do hold a Thanksgiving Turkey give away but we typically get plenty of volunteers for that day.
The need in our community is growing and more people need our help, as you can tell by our year over year growth in the amount of people who come to our food bank. This means we have more expenses to help more people. as well the increase in utilities and other expenses means we need to find more sources of income for our organization. If you are a grant writer or feel you can be a potential good grant writer contact us so we can discuss this further.
If you feel you have 2 or more hours a week to help us with the following administrative task you might be a great fit:
Book Keeping, Data entry, Work with Spreedsheets, Sending e-newsletters, creating and sending mail outs, creating reports, and managing our CRM.
You can work from home too!
We need help with designing for our events, social media, and website. If your reliable and desire to help we would love to hear from you and about your interest. Best part is that you can work from home as well.
For special occasion we will need to make a video, if you would like to be added to our list of Volunteer Video Editors please contact us.
On one day every other month we want to do cleaning and repairs for our facility. Sign up below if your interested in being one of these well needed volunteers.
